Industry Partnerships and Commitments
IDSA Women In Design
The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) celebrated National Industrial Design Day (March 5) and International Women’s Day (March 8th) with a Women in Design Deep Dive: Be Unconventional. LINK PBC was a sponsor of the event and celebrated the start of an incredible weekend with a Sip & Sketch at our studio. Read more about the event, our involvement, and our take-aways here.
Certified B Corporationâ„¢
If you’ve followed us at all since we reopened our doors, you’ll know that B Corp Certification has been one of our biggest aspirations from jump and has been a central focus of nearly every decision we’ve made in restructuring LINK PBC as a purpose-driven company. We’re overjoyed to have received full certification in June and excited to be part of this movement of like-minded organizations devoted to business as a force for good. You can read more about it in our B Corp Journey, our B Corp Certification, and our official press release.
B Local Colorado
Part of our entry into the world of B Corp has been getting involved with our local chapter of the family through B Local Colorado. We volunteered our space to host the B Local family at a V2 coworking session and happy hour in September, where a small group of business leaders collaborated and shared experience with how to approach the new B Lab standards. We’re in the early stage of exploring this network and are excited to be embedded in this community for years to come.
Community Partnerships
Denver Art Museum
We continued our participation with the Denver Art Museum’s Design for Accessibility project this year
We started this journey with DAM in 2025, where we participated in working sessions with the disability community, museum staff, designers, and the public in order to identify opportunities and brainstorm solutions with how to support more inclusive exhibition experiences.
In 2026 we continued this collaboration into design refinement; focused on accessible seating at the museum, we designed a chair aimed at targeting all of the feedback provided in the listening sessions. Read more about the Haven Chair here, and check in on DAM’s Designing for Accessibility: Year Two Update here.
Mile High Makers
Principal Alice Mayfield joined the Mile High Makers podcast in October to talk user-centered design, pitfalls of product development, and scaling a purpose-driven business. Watch the podcast here.
We’re passionate about inspiring excitement around responsible design and empowering the next generation of engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. In 2025, we strengthened long-standing educational partnerships while exploring new mentorship opportunities to nurture future changemakers.
EDUCATION & MENTORSHIP
Teaching & Mentorship
Our team spent ____ hours in 2026 leading lectures, advising student groups, conducting portfolio reviews, and mentoring students.
Beck Venture Center:
Through the Traxion Venture Network, Marc also spent time in 2025 as a mentor and advisor with the Colorado School of Mines' Beck Venture Center, helping two early-stage start-ups with their product development and marketing strategies.
University of Kansas:
Designer and project manager Abby Detrich mentors aspiring designers and serves as a guest lecturer at her alma mater, the University of Kansas School of Design.
Honor People & Planet
Through our internal business practices, we are committed to combating unnecessary consumption, minimizing waste and pollution, and utilizing sustainable materials and processes. We prioritize fair wages, equity, and inclusion in the workplace while fostering a company culture of trust, transparency, and respect.
We advise our clients through holistic product development to ensure full product impact is considered: including market justification, material selection, environmental footprint, human rights, employment equity, and product end-of-life.
WORKING AT LINK PBC
At LINK PBC, honoring people and planet means building an inclusive workplace, prioritizing employee well-being, and demonstrating our commitments to justice and equity in everything we do. In our first year of operations, we took care to ensure our company culture was rooted in our purpose.
Process & Policy
As our team grows, we’ve focused on building processes and procedures that support sustainable growth while ensuring every employee has a voice in LINK PBC’s strategic direction. This includes our Stakeholder Policy, weekly all-hands meetings centered on B Corp and public benefit alignment, quarterly financial and strategic reviews, and an annual feedback process for personal and professional development.
Benefits
LINK PBC also provides flexible and hybrid work hours, three weeks paid time off, 12 additional paid holidays, and 20 hours paid volunteer time annually. We also offer a socially responsible 401k fund with a 5% match and comprehensive paid and protected leave options.
People
In addition to our network of subcontractors, we’ve added two full-time members to our team in 2025: meet Abby Detrich & Carter Gerard!
SUSTAINABILTIY
While our environmental footprint is inherently low, LINK PBC is committed to conducting our business in a way that honors our mission and integrates dedicated sustainability into all facets of our business operations.
In 2025, we established a Sustainability Policy to guide our decisions in both our design services and in our internal operations. In this policy, we pledge to utilize responsible and sustainable design practices, advocate sustainability through community outreach, commit to internal waste reduction, and empower employees to contribute to sustainable causes. We will measure and report against this policy annually to track our progress and refine our environmental targets.
GOVERNANCE & TRANSPARENCY
To ensure accountability and balanced decision-making, we’ve established independent oversight through an advisory board that helps guide our mission, revenue goals, and strategic growth. We are proud to welcome David Bowen as the first member of this board.
Improve Accessibility, Inclusion, and Empowerment for All
We design impactful, sustainable, and engaging products focused on improving accessibility and mobility, providing opportunities for learning and educational play, encouraging well-being and responsible stewardship of our shared planet, and empowering underserved and high-risk communities with greater agency, freedom, and opportunity.
DESIGNING WITH IMPACT
Business Development
Our mission is the underlying guidance for all of our business decisions. Finding meaningful products and development partners isn’t an accident, it is a commitment.
Impactful Projects
The products we develop are the core demonstration of our public benefit. In 2025, we had the opportunity to work on some incredible projects with ambitious impact goals:
LUCI SPV
An innovative and autonomous mobility solution for helping people navigate airports and hospitals
A first of its kind open-sourced and 3D printed mobility trainer to allow independent movement for young children with physical challenges and limited mobility.
A modular, low-profile, and maintenance-friendly adiabatic cooling system used to drastically reduce energy usage and improve efficiency in industrial-scale air conditioning systems.
A device used to extend the lifespan and viability of organs intended for transplant, helping save lives, minimize losses, and improve efficiency across organ transplant supply chains.
